   Remove bottom pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.5 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

   Warm lower screen edge

   Apply heat to the bottom edge of the phone using a heat gun for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to screen

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the front glass, just above the Home button, and press down to secure a firm seal.

   Slice display adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick and slice through the adhesive along the edges.

   Open display assembly

   Swing the display open from the left edge like the cover of a book. Do not try to fully separate the screen yet.

   Unscrew lower bracket

   Remove the four Tri-point Y000 screws holding down the lower display connector bracket to the logic board.

   Disconnect battery flex cable

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector directly up from its socket on the logic board.

   Disconnect display and digitizer cables

   Use the edge of a spudger to pop the display cable and digitizer cable straight off the logic board.

   Unscrew upper sensor bracket

   Remove the three Tri-point Y000 screws securing the upper sensor assembly bracket.

    Disconnect front camera assembly

    Disconnect the front panel sensor assembly cable and carefully detach the screen from the rear enclosure.

    Eject SIM card tray

    Insert a SIM eject tool or straightened paperclip into the SIM tray hole and push firmly to eject the tray.

    Remove rear camera bracket and disconnect camera

    Unscrew the bracket covering the rear camera, then disconnect the rear camera press connector from the logic board.

    Disconnect upper antenna and button flexes

    Use tweezers or a spudger to carefully unplug the Wi-Fi antenna, power button, and volume control flex connectors.

    Disconnect lower Lightning and speaker flexes

    Pry up the lower Lightning connector and Taptic Engine interconnect cables attached near the bottom of the board.

    Remove logic board standoff screws

    Use a specialized standoff screwdriver and Phillips #000 driver to remove all remaining screws securing the logic board.

    Lift logic board out of enclosure

    Gently pivot the logic board up from the bottom edge and pull it away from the top edge to remove it completely.
