3 minInsert an opening pick into the gap and gently slide it along the bottom and sides to slice through the perimeter adhesive.

3 minDisconnect the display cable and home button extension cable connectors from their respective logic board sockets.

Remove Display Assembly
1 minSeparate the display assembly completely from the rear case and lay it face down on a soft, clean surface.

Unscrew Home Button Bracket
3 minRemove the four Tri-point Y000 screws securing the metal home button bracket to the back of the display.

Remove Home Button Bracket
1 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the metal home button shield off the display panel.

Disconnect Home Button Flex
2 minPry up the home button flex cable connector from its socket on the display assembly ribbon cable.

Pry Out Home Button
2 minGently push the home button assembly through the front glass from the exterior side toward the inside of the display.

Install New Home Button
3 minThread the flex cable of the new home button through the front glass cutout and align the button firmly into place.
