   Power Off the Device

   Turn off your iPhone SE (2022) completely before starting disassembly to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.5 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

   Heat Lower Edge

   Apply heat to the lower edge of the phone using a hair dryer or heat gun for 90 seconds to soften the adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower half of the front glass panel, just above the Home button.

   Create Screen Gap

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup while inserting an opening pick into the gap between the screen and frame.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around the bottom, left, and right edges to cut through the display adhesive sealant.

   Open Display Assembly

   Gently swing the display open from the left side to the right side like the cover of a book.

   Remove Lower Bracket Screws

   Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the lower display cable bracket.

   Remove Battery Shield

   Lift out the metal bracket covering the battery connector and display flex cables with tweezers.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use the flat tip of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off its logic board socket.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Disconnect the lower display and touch digitizer flex cable connectors from the logic board.

    Remove Upper Bracket

    Remove the three Phillips and Tri-point screws securing the upper sensor assembly bracket and remove the bracket.

    Disconnect Front Camera Cable

    Pry the front sensor and earpiece speaker flex cable connector off its socket on the top of the logic board.

    Detach Display Assembly

    Lift the entire display panel off the rear enclosure and place it safely aside.

    Unscrew Taptic Engine Bracket

    Remove the screws holding down the Taptic Engine grounding bracket and vibrator body.

    Remove Taptic Engine

    Disconnect the Taptic Engine ribbon cable connector and lift the vibrator unit out of the case.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker

    Remove the screws securing the speaker module along the bottom edge of the enclosure.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Gently wedge a spudger under the loudspeaker assembly and lift it straight out of the housing.

    Unscrew Charging Port Cable

    Remove the retaining screws securing the Lightning port socket, dual microphones, and grounding pads.

    Heat Exterior Rear Case

    Apply mild heat to the lower rear portion of the aluminum case to loosen the ribbon cable adhesive.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Use tweezers to carefully snap off the lower cellular antenna coaxial cable from the charging port board.

    Pry Up Charging Port Assembly

    Slide a flat spudger under the flex cable starting from the microphone pads to detach it from the case.

    Remove Old Port Assembly

    Lift the entire Lightning charging port assembly and attached flex ribbon out of the phone.

    Clean Recess and Contacts

    Clean remaining adhesive and debris from the bottom enclosure recess using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.

    Install New Port Assembly

    Align and adhere the new charging port ribbon cable into the bottom enclosure, ensuring alignment over screw posts.
