4 minSlide the opening pick around the bottom, left, and right edges to cut through the display adhesive sealant.

1 minGently swing the display open from the left side to the right side like the cover of a book.

Remove Lower Bracket Screws
3 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the lower display cable bracket.

1 minLift out the metal bracket covering the battery connector and display flex cables with tweezers.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat tip of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off its logic board socket.

2 minDisconnect the lower display and touch digitizer flex cable connectors from the logic board.

Remove Upper Bracket
2 minRemove the three Phillips and Tri-point screws securing the upper sensor assembly bracket and remove the bracket.

1 minPry the front sensor and earpiece speaker flex cable connector off its socket on the top of the logic board.

Detach Display Assembly
1 minLift the entire display panel off the rear enclosure and place it safely aside.

Unscrew Taptic Engine Bracket
3 minRemove the screws holding down the Taptic Engine grounding bracket and vibrator body.

Remove Taptic Engine
2 minDisconnect the Taptic Engine ribbon cable connector and lift the vibrator unit out of the case.

Unscrew Loudspeaker
3 minRemove the screws securing the speaker module along the bottom edge of the enclosure.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minGently wedge a spudger under the loudspeaker assembly and lift it straight out of the housing.

Unscrew Charging Port Cable
4 minRemove the retaining screws securing the Lightning port socket, dual microphones, and grounding pads.

Heat Exterior Rear Case
2 minApply mild heat to the lower rear portion of the aluminum case to loosen the ribbon cable adhesive.

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cable
2 minUse tweezers to carefully snap off the lower cellular antenna coaxial cable from the charging port board.

Pry Up Charging Port Assembly
3 minSlide a flat spudger under the flex cable starting from the microphone pads to detach it from the case.

Remove Old Port Assembly
1 minLift the entire Lightning charging port assembly and attached flex ribbon out of the phone.

Clean Recess and Contacts
2 minClean remaining adhesive and debris from the bottom enclosure recess using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.

Install New Port Assembly
4 minAlign and adhere the new charging port ribbon cable into the bottom enclosure, ensuring alignment over screw posts.
