Power Off iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume button, then slide to power off the device completely.

Heat Bottom Edge

2 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the gap at the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive.

Slice Side Adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic tool up the left and right edges to release the remaining display perimeter adhesive.

1 minSwing the display open from the left side like a book cover, resting it against a stable support.

Unscrew Display Bracket
3 minRemove the four Phillips #000 screws securing the lower metal bracket over the logic board connectors.

Remove Connector Bracket
1 minUse tweezers to lift the lower metal bracket out of the phone body.

Disconnect Battery Press Connector
1 minUse the pointed end of a spudger to disconnect the battery connector from its socket.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Mounts
4 minRemove the seven Phillips #000 screws securing the loudspeaker assembly to the lower enclosure.

Unclip Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minGently pry up the loudspeaker from its bottom housing using the flat end of a spudger.

Remove Loudspeaker
1 minLift the loudspeaker module out of the lower chassis completely.

Install Replacement Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the new loudspeaker into the lower corner and press down until it sits flush against the frame.

Secure Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall the seven Phillips #000 screws to anchor the loudspeaker tightly in place.
