Power Off the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the sleep/wake button, then slide to power down the iPhone completely before starting.

Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.9 mm screws on either side of the Lightning connector.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the front glass panel, positioned just above the Home button.

Pry Open Display Assembly
3 minPull up firmly on the suction cup while inserting a plastic prying tool under the glass to release the bottom clips.

Unclip Touch ID Cable Bracket
2 minSlightly open the screen and use fine tweezers to pop off the metal retaining bracket over the Touch ID connector.

Disconnect Touch ID Cable
2 minUse a plastic spudger to gently lever the Touch ID flex cable connector up out of its socket.

Remove Battery Connector Bracket
2 minUnscrew the two Phillips #000 screws securing the lower metal bracket and set the bracket aside.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up off the logic board using the flat end of a plastic spudger.

Remove Display Cable Bracket
3 minRemove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the upper display cable shield in place and remove it.

Disconnect Display Cables
3 minDisconnect the front camera, digitizer, and display flex cables from the logic board using a spudger.

Remove Upper Vibrator Screws
2 minLocate the vibrator motor in the top corner and remove the two Phillips #000 screws holding it to the rear case.

Lift Out Old Vibrator Motor
1 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the original vibrator motor assembly out of the phone frame.

Position Replacement Vibrator Motor
2 minSet the new vibrator motor into the upper corner housing, ensuring proper contact pad alignment.

Fasten Vibrator Motor Screws
2 minReinstall the two Phillips #000 screws tightly to secure the replacement vibrator motor to the frame.

Reconnect Display Cables
3 minCarefully snap the camera, digitizer, and display connectors back onto their sockets on the logic board.

Reinstall Display Cable Shield
2 minPlace the metal display cable shield over the connectors and secure it with four Phillips #000 screws.

Reconnect Battery and Bracket
2 minPress the battery cable onto its terminal, position the metal bracket, and secure it with two Phillips screws.

Reconnect Touch ID Flex Cable
3 minAttach the Touch ID flex cable to the dock connector assembly and snap its metal bracket back over the cable.

Close Display and Fasten Pentalobe Screws
2 minPress the display assembly back into the rear case until fully seated, then reinstall the two P2 Pentalobe screws.
