   Power Down Device

   Press and hold the power button, then slide to turn off your iPhone SE completely.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Remove the two 3.9 mm Pentalobe screws located at the bottom edge on either side of the Lightning port.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the front glass panel just above the Home button.

   Pry Open Lower Display

   Gently pull up on the suction cup while using a plastic opening tool to crack open the bottom edge of the display panel.

   Remove Touch ID Bracket

   Carefully lift the bottom edge of the glass and use tweezers to detach the metal bracket over the Touch ID flex cable.

   Disconnect Touch ID Cable

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to gently pop the Touch ID cable connector out of its logic board socket.

   Open Display Assembly

   Pivot the display assembly up to a 90-degree angle relative to the phone body.

   Remove Battery Bracket Screws

   Remove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the lower metal bracket over the battery connector, then lift the bracket out.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Pry the battery connector straight up from the logic board to prevent powering the board during repair.

    Remove Display Cable Bracket

    Remove the four Phillips #000 screws holding down the top display cable shield and remove the plate.

    Disconnect Front Camera Cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect the front camera and sensor flex cable from the logic board.

    Disconnect Digitizer Cable

    Pry the digitizer flex cable straight up from its connector on the logic board.

    Disconnect Display LCD Cable

    Disconnect the main LCD cable from the logic board using the flat edge of a spudger.

    Separate Display Assembly

    Lift the entire display assembly away from the rear phone enclosure.

    Remove Earpiece Bracket Screws

    Remove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the earpiece speaker bracket to the top of the display.

    Remove Earpiece Speaker

    Lift off the metal bracket and remove the earpiece speaker unit from underneath the sensor flex.

    Pry Front Camera Assembly

    Gently ease the front camera, microphone, and sensor assembly away from the plastic display frame.

    Remove Home Button Bracket

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the metal Home button retention bracket.

    Transfer Home Button Assembly

    Carefully pry the delicate Touch ID cable off the front glass and push the Home button inward to transfer it to the new screen.

    Remove LCD Shield Screws

    Remove the four Phillips #000 screws running along the lateral edges of the metal LCD EMI shield.

    Remove LCD Shield Plate

    Lift the metal LCD shield plate off the original screen panel.

    Transfer Shield and Components

    Install the LCD shield plate, Home button assembly, front camera flex, and earpiece speaker onto the new screen assembly in reverse order.

    Connect Replacement Display Cables

    Snap the LCD, digitizer, and front camera flex cables onto their corresponding logic board sockets.

    Reconnect Touch ID and Battery

    Reconnect the battery cable, secure all metal brackets with their screws, plug in the Touch ID cable, and snap the display back into the frame.
