   Power down the iPhone

   Press and hold the side button, then slide the power control to shut down the phone completely.

   Remove pentalobe bottom screws

   Unscrew and remove the two 3.5 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning connector.

   Heat the lower display edge

   Apply a heated pad or warm heat gun to the bottom edge of the frame for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Apply suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower half of the front glass assembly, just above the Home button.

   Pry open lower display seam

   Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure and insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge.

   Slice display side adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully up the left and right sides to cut through the water-resistant adhesive strip.

   Open display panel

   Swing the screen open to the right side like a book cover, leaning it against a support to prevent straining the cables.

   Remove lower bracket screws

   Unscrew the four Tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display connector bracket and remove the metal plate.

   Disconnect the battery press connector

   Use the edge of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off its socket on the logic board.

    Disconnect display and digitizer cables

    Use your plastic spudger to pop the lower display cable and touch digitizer flex cable connectors off the board.

    Disconnect front panel sensor array

    Remove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the top bracket, then disconnect the front camera and sensor flex cable.

    Detach the display assembly

    Lift the display assembly away from the rear housing completely and set it aside in a safe spot.

    Remove Taptic Engine and speaker assembly

    Unscrew the lower mounting screws securing the speaker and Taptic Engine, then lift both modules out of the chassis.

    Pull battery adhesive release tabs

    Peel back the black pull-tabs at the bottom of the battery using tweezers.

    Extract battery adhesive strips

    Slowly pull each adhesive strip straight out at a low angle until they slip free from underneath the battery.

    Remove the battery

    Lift the battery out from the rear case and store it safely away from sharp tools.

    Unfasten upper logic board bracket

    Remove the retaining screws and grounding covers securing the upper portion of the logic board to the frame.

    Remove the logic board

    Carefully tilt and lift the logic board out of the rear enclosure, disconnecting any remaining antenna coax leads.

    Heat rear glass wireless coil area

    Apply heat to the center exterior of the back glass for two minutes to loosen the adhesive securing the wireless charging array.

    Peel off damaged wireless charging coil

    Insert a flat plastic pry tool beneath the wireless charging coil pad and gently lift it off the rear glass.

    Install replacement wireless charging coil

    Align the new wireless charging pad onto the rear glass enclosure and press firmly to set the adhesive backing.
