   Power Down iPhone

   Press and hold the side button and either volume button until the slider appears, then slide to power off.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 3.5 mm screws on the bottom edge of the iPhone.

   Heat Lower Edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or hair dryer to the bottom edge of the phone for 90 seconds to soften display adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the front panel, just above the Home button.

   Lift Display Panel

   Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap between the front panel and rear case.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap at the bottom edge and slide it horizontally to break the adhesive seal.

   Slice Side Adhesive

   Slide the pick up the left edge of the phone from the bottom corner toward the top edge.

   Slice Opposite Adhesive

   Reinsert the pick at the bottom right corner and slide up the right side to cut the remaining adhesive.

   Open Display Assembly

   Swing the display open from the right side, like a book cover, pivoting along the left edge.

    Unscrew Battery Bracket

    Remove the four Tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display cable bracket.

    Remove Lower Bracket

    Use tweezers to lift and remove the metal lower display bracket from the phone.

    Disconnect Battery Connector

    Use the edge of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the lower display cable and display data cable from the logic board.

    Unscrew Upper Bracket

    Remove the three Phillips #000 screws holding the upper sensor assembly bracket in place.

    Disconnect Front Sensor

    Remove the upper bracket and disconnect the front panel sensor assembly flex cable.

    Unscrew Taptic Engine

    Remove the three Phillips screws securing the Taptic Engine assembly to the rear housing.

    Remove Taptic Engine

    Disconnect the Taptic Engine ribbon cable and lift the unit out of the lower chassis.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Assembly

    Remove the four Phillips screws and one standoff screw anchoring the speaker housing.

    Lift Out Loudspeaker

    Gently pry up and remove the loudspeaker module from the bottom edge of the case.

    Unscrew Charging Port

    Remove the fifty-four micro Phillips screws securing the Lightning assembly and bracket to the outer frame.

    Peel Assembly Flex

    Apply light heat to the rear case, then carefully slide a flat spudger under the flex cable to detach it from the housing.

    Remove Lightning Connector

    Lift the entire Lightning connector and microphone assembly clear of the phone frame.
