Remove Lower Cable Bracket Screws
3 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the lower display cable bracket to the logic board.

Disconnect the Battery
2 minUse the pointed end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

Unfasten Taptic Engine Screws
2 minRemove the three Phillips #000 screws securing the Taptic Engine to the lower rear case.

Lift Out the Taptic Engine
2 minUse tweezers or the flat end of a spudger to gently lift and remove the faulty Taptic Engine from the phone chassis.

Insert Replacement Taptic Engine
2 minAlign the replacement Taptic Engine into the empty socket in the rear case, ensuring alignment with the screw posts.

Fasten Taptic Engine Screws
2 minReinstall the three Phillips #000 screws to hold the replacement Taptic Engine firmly in place.

Reconnect the Battery
2 minAlign the battery press connector over its socket and press down gently until it clicks into place.

Reinstall Bracket and Close Display
4 minRe-attach the lower cable metal bracket with its four Tri-point screws, then fold the display down and press the edges to snap it close.

Reinstall Pentalobe Screws
