Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.4 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning connector.

Heat Lower Display Edge
2 minApply warmth to the lower edge of the display with a heat gun for 90 seconds to soften the display adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower half of the display assembly, positioned just above the Home button.

Slice Lower Display Adhesive
3 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a slight gap, then slide an opening pick along the bottom edge.

Open Display Assembly
2 minSwing the display open from the left side like a book cover, keeping it supported upright at a 90-degree angle.

Remove Lower Cable Bracket Screws
3 minUnscrew the four Tri-point Y000 screws holding the lower display cable bracket to the logic board.

Detach Lower Cable Bracket
1 minLift the lower cable bracket out of the phone using precision tweezers and set it aside safely.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

2 minPry up the lower display connector and digitizer connector from their respective sockets on the logic board.

2 minRemove the three Tri-point Y000 screws securing the upper sensor assembly bracket and remove the bracket.

Separate Display Assembly
2 minDisconnect the ambient light sensor connector and lift the entire display assembly away from the rear case.

Remove Home Button Bracket Screws
3 minUnscrew the four Tri-point Y000 screws securing the Home button bracket to the display assembly backplate.

Remove Home Button Bracket
1 minUse tweezers to lift the metal Home button bracket off the back of the display assembly.

Disconnect Home Button Flex
2 minPry the Home button ribbon cable connector straight up out of its underlying socket using a spudger.

Unstick Home Button Cable
2 minSlide a plastic opening pick beneath the underlying Home button flex cable to release it from the display adhesive.

Remove Home Button Assembly
2 minPush the Home button gently from the front side of the screen inward to completely remove the assembly.
