   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Power off your iPhone completely. Remove the two 3.4 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

   Heat Bottom Edge

   Use a hair dryer or heat gun to gently warm the lower edge of the phone for 60 seconds to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the glass screen, just above the home button.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup to create a tiny gap between the screen and frame, then slide an opening pick into the seam.

   Slice Bottom Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Separate Left Edge Adhesive

   Continue sliding the pick up the left side of the screen to release the lateral adhesive strips.

   Slice Right Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick carefully along the right edge, taking care not to insert it deeper than 2 mm to avoid damaging delicate ribbon cables.

   Open Display Sideways

   Gently swing the display open from the left edge like a book, resting it upright against a rigid object so you do not strain the cables.

   Unbolt Lower Bracket

   Remove the three 1.2 mm and one 2.4 mm Tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display cable bracket.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Pry up the lower display cable and the touch digitizer cable connectors using your plastic spudger.

    Remove Sensor Bracket

    Remove the three 1.2 mm Tri-point Y000 screws holding the upper sensor assembly connector bracket in place and remove the bracket.

    Detach Sensor Cable

    Disconnect the front-facing camera and sensor cable press connector from the logic board, then separate the display from the rear case.

    Remove Home Button Screws

    Remove the four 1.1 mm Tri-point Y000 screws holding the metal bracket over the Touch ID sensor and home button assembly.

    Unseat Home Button Flex

    Gently pry beneath the home button cable connector to detach it from the underlying flex cable.

    Transfer Home Button

    Carefully push the home button through the front of the old display panel and transfer it into the opening of the new display assembly.

    Remove Earpiece Screws

    Remove the two Phillips #000 screws and three Tri-point Y000 screws securing the upper earpiece speaker bracket.

    Lift Earpiece Speaker

    Use tweezers to lift out the metal bracket and earpiece speaker underneath it.

    Detach Camera Ribbon

    Apply light heat to the top of the display and carefully slide a flat spudger beneath the front camera and sensor ribbon to peel it off the glass.

    Remove Shield Plate Screws

    Remove the six Tri-point Y000 screws securing the LCD shield plate along the left and right edges of the display.

    Install Components On New Screen

    Transfer the LCD shield plate, front camera ribbon, earpiece speaker, and home button bracket onto the replacement display assembly and secure their screws.

    Apply New Perimeter Adhesive

    Peel the backing off a new perimeter adhesive gasket, align it on the phone chassis edges, and press down firmly around the perimeter.

    Reconnect Display Cables

    Connect the upper sensor cable, display cables, and battery cable press connectors to the logic board, then reinstall both metal brackets.

    Snap Display and Fasten Screws

    Align the top hooks of the display frame with the rear case, snap the screen down into place along the edges, and reinstall the two lower Pentalobe screws.
