   Power down the iPhone

   Press and hold the power button, then slide to turn off your iPhone 7 Plus completely before starting.

   Remove pentalobe screws

   Unscrew the two 3.4 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on the bottom edge near the charging port.

   Warm the display edges

   Apply mild heat with a heat gun along the bottom and side edges to soften the internal display adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower half of the front display, directly above the Home button.

   Create a lower opening gap

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup while pushing down on the rear enclosure to create a thin gap at the bottom.

   Insert opening pick

   Insert the flat edge of an opening pick into the gap between the glass screen and the aluminium bezel.

   Slice perimeter display adhesive

   Slide the pick around the bottom and up both sides to cut through the waterproof display adhesive.

   Open display sideways

   Swing the screen open from the left side like a book cover, resting it against a stable support.

   Remove lower cable bracket

   Unscrew the four Tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display cable shield and remove the bracket.

    Disconnect the battery

    Use the edge of a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off its socket.

    Disconnect lower display cables

    Disconnect the lower display flex cable and digitizer cable from the logic board using your spudger.

    Remove upper bracket screws

    Unscrew the three Phillips #000 screws holding the upper display connector bracket and remove it.

    Detach the screen assembly

    Disconnect the front camera and sensor assembly cable, then lift the display assembly completely away from the body.

    Unscrew the Taptic Engine

    Remove the three Phillips #000 screws securing the Taptic Engine linear resonant actuator near the bottom.

    Remove the Taptic Engine

    Disconnect the Taptic Engine connector from the lower flex cable and lift the component out.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Unscrew the five Phillips screws holding the lower loudspeaker in place on the bottom edge.

    Lift out the speaker

    Gently lift the loudspeaker out from the bottom housing and set it aside.

    Unscrew the microphone assembly

    Remove the four Phillips screws anchoring the lower microphone and Lightning connector assembly to the bottom frame.

    Peel up the microphone flex

    Use a spudger to carefully peel the microphone, barometric vent, and flex cable off the inner housing adhesive.

    Install replacement microphone assembly

    Align the new lower microphone and Lightning flex cable in the housing, press down firm adhesive contacts, and reassemble.
