   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then slide the switch on screen to completely power down the iPhone 7 Plus.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.4 mm screws on either side of the Lightning port.

   Warm Bottom Edge

   Apply a heat gun or hairdryer to the bottom edge of the phone for about 90 seconds to soften the screen adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower left corner of the screen assembly, just above the home button.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Pull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic pick to slice through the adhesive along the edges.

   Open Display Assembly

   Swing the screen open from the left side like a book cover. Do not attempt to fully separate it yet as flex cables are attached on the right side.

   Remove Lower Cable Bracket Screws

   Use a Y000 tri-point screwdriver to remove the four tri-point screws securing the lower display cable bracket.

   Disconnect Battery

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

   Disconnect Lower Display Cables

   Use your spudger to disconnect the lower display data cable and the touch screen digitizer cable from the motherboard.

    Remove Upper Cable Bracket Screws

    Remove the three Phillips screws securing the bracket over the front panel sensor assembly connector.

    Disconnect Front Camera Cable

    Disconnect the front sensor assembly cable from its socket and set the display assembly aside safely.

    Remove Taptic Engine Screws

    Remove the three Phillips #000 screws holding the Taptic Engine bracket and motor to the lower rear case.

    Pry Out Taptic Engine

    Use tweezers to unlatch the Taptic Engine connector, then lift the unit out of the iPhone case.

    Remove Barometric Vent

    Unscrew the two Phillips screws securing the barometric vent on the bottom left and lift it out using tweezers.

    Remove Speaker Assembly Screws

    Remove the four screws holding the speaker module in place, noting their specific lengths for reassembly.

    Lift Out Speaker Assembly

    Gently lift the speaker module up and away from the bottom case to expose the Lightning connector ribbon cable.

    Unscrew Lightning Port Fasteners

    Remove the two Phillips screws on the outer bezel and the two standoff screws securing the Lightning port connector housing.

    Unstick Microphones and Cable

    Use isopropyl alcohol and a spudger to carefully peel the twin microphones and antenna connections attached to the bottom frame.

    Peel Up Lightning Flex Assembly

    Gently slide a flat opening tool underneath the main body of the Lightning flex cable to release it from the adhesive underneath.

    Lay Down Replacement Lightning Flex

    Peel the protective film off the replacement assembly, align the port into the bottom bezel, and press the cable firmly to stick it in place.

    Reinstall Internal Components

    Reattach the speaker assembly, barometric vent, and Taptic Engine, securing all original screws back into their respective places.

    Reconnect Display and Seal Device

    Reconnect the display cables and battery connector, apply fresh perimeter adhesive, close the screen, and install the two bottom Pentalobe screws.
