   Power down the iPhone

   Press and hold the sleep/wake button, then slide the power switch to turn off your iPhone 6s Plus completely.

   Remove Pentalobe screws

   Unscrew the two 3.4 mm Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

   Apply suction cup

   Position a suction cup on the lower glass assembly, directly above the Home button.

   Pry lower display edge

   Pull up gently on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening tool beneath the bottom display lip.

   Slice edge adhesive

   Slide an opening pick along the left and right edges to break through the perimeter display adhesive.

   Unscrew battery bracket

   Remove the two Phillips screws securing the metal battery cable bracket to the logic board.

   Disconnect battery cable

   Use a spudger to pry the battery connector press fit straight up off its board socket.

   Unscrew display bracket

   Remove the five Phillips screws holding the display cable bracket to the top of the logic board.

   Disconnect display cables

   Pry up the front camera, digitizer, and display cables using the flat end of a spudger, then remove the display assembly.

    Unscrew Taptic Engine

    Remove the three Phillips screws securing the Taptic Engine vibrator unit to the frame.

    Remove Taptic Engine

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the Taptic Engine out of the bottom corner of the housing.

    Unscrew speaker assembly

    Remove the five Phillips screws holding the lower loudspeaker housing to the frame.

    Remove speaker assembly

    Lift the loudspeaker out from the bottom edge of the device frame.

    Disconnect cellular antenna

    Use precision tweezers to pry the tiny co-axial antenna cable terminal off the Lightning port board.

    Unscrew Lightning assembly

    Remove the four Phillips screws anchoring the Lightning port and headphone jack to the bottom edge.

    Detach microphone and headphone jack

    Gently pry up the primary microphone rubber boot and 3.5mm headphone jack socket from the frame.

    Peel off Lightning ribbon flex

    Scrape under the flexible Lightning ribbon cable using a plastic tool to loosen the mild adhesive, then lift it out.

    Position new Lightning assembly

    Align the replacement Lightning ribbon cable along the bottom frame and press down firmly to set the adhesive.

    Secure Lightning port screws

    Fasten the four Phillips screws into the headphone jack and Lightning connector housing.

    Reconnect antenna cable

    Carefully snap the co-axial cellular antenna connector back onto its matching board header using tweezers.

    Reinstall loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker into position over the Lightning assembly and secure its five Phillips screws.

    Reinstall Taptic Engine

    Set the Taptic Engine back into place and reinsert its three retaining Phillips screws.

    Reconnect display cables

    Snap the display, digitizer, and front camera flex cables back onto their respective logic board sockets.

    Secure display bracket

    Re-position the display metal shield over the connector press-fits and secure it with five Phillips screws.

    Reconnect battery

    Press the battery connector into its socket until it clicks gently into place.

    Fasten battery bracket

    Place the metal battery bracket over the connector and reinstall its two Phillips screws.

    Close screen assembly

    Hook the top lip of the display into the top casing, then lower the screen flat and press around edges to snap shut.

    Fasten Pentalobe screws

    Reinstall the two 3.4 mm Pentalobe screws into the bottom edge near the charging port.
