Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then slide to power down the iPhone completely.

Remove Pentalobe Screws

2 minDisconnect the front camera, digitizer, and LCD cables by popping them up using the tip of a spudger.

Separate Display from Rear Case
1 minLift the display assembly off the rear case and store it in a safe area.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Bracket
2 minRemove the two Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker module in place.

Remove Loudspeaker Module
2 minUse tweezers or a spudger to gently lift the loudspeaker out of the bottom of the housing.

Disconnect Lightning Flex Connector
1 minPry the Lightning connector flex cable off its socket on the logic board using the flat end of a spudger.

Remove Lower Assembly Screws
3 minRemove the seven Phillips #000 screws securing the microphone, headphone jack, and Lightning port to the case.

Peel Up Old Microphone Assembly
3 minGently wedge a flat spudger beneath the flex cable assembly to break the adhesive and remove the old microphone harness.

Install Replacement Microphone Assembly
3 minAlign the replacement flex assembly into the lower case housing and press down firm enough to stick the adhesive.
