   Power Off the iPhone

   Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top until the slider appears. Slide to power off the iPhone completely before proceeding.

   Remove the Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.9 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the screen, just above the home button. Ensure a tight seal against the glass.

   Pry Open the Bottom Edge

   Gently pull up on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening tool into the seam above the headphone jack. Pry up slightly to free the bottom clips.

   Pry Along the Side Edges

   Slide the plastic opening tool up along the left and right sides to release the internal plastic clips securing the screen.

   Unlatch the Touch ID Bracket

   Open the bottom of the screen slightly, being careful not to open it fully. Use tweezers to unlatch and remove the small metal bracket covering the home button cable.

   Disconnect the Touch ID Cable

   Use the pointed end of a spudger to pop the home button cable connector up out of its socket on the logic board.

   Open Display to Ninety Degrees

   Open the display to a 90-degree angle relative to the rear case. Prop it up or hold it steady so it does not tip backward.

   Unscrew the Display Cable Bracket

   Remove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the metal display cable bracket in place near the top right of the logic board.

    Remove the Display Cable Bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the metal cable shield bracket off the logic board and set it aside.

    Disconnect the Front Camera Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry the front camera and sensor cable connector straight up off its socket.

    Disconnect the Digitizer Cable

    Pry the digitizer cable connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

    Disconnect the LCD Cable

    Disconnect the LCD cable connector located beneath the digitizer connector on the logic board.

    Separate the Screen Assembly

    Lift the front panel display assembly away from the rear case entirely.

    Unscrew the Home Button Bracket

    Remove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the home button bracket to the back of the front glass.

    Remove the Home Button Bracket

    Lift the metal home button bracket off the screen assembly using tweezers.

    Transfer the Home Button Assembly

    Carefully peel the home button ribbon cable off the old glass and press the home button assembly through the front to transfer it to the new screen.

    Secure the Home Button Bracket

    Place the home button bracket over the ribbon cable on the new display and tighten the two Phillips screws.

    Connect Display Cables to Logic Board

    Attach the LCD, digitizer, and front camera cable connectors to their sockets on the logic board in sequence.

    Secure the Display Cable Bracket

    Position the metal cable shield bracket over the connectors and install the four Phillips #000 screws.

    Reconnect the Touch ID Cable

    Lower the display slightly and snap the Touch ID home button connector back into its logic board socket.

    Secure the Touch ID Bracket

    Place the small metal Touch ID retaining bracket over the cable connector until it snaps securely into place.

    Press Display Into Frame

    Align the top hooks of the display with the top edge of the case, then gently press down along the sides until the display snaps flush.

    Reinstall Bottom Pentalobe Screws

    Thread and tighten the two 3.9 mm P2 Pentalobe screws on either side of the Lightning port.
