   Power off the device

   Press and hold the sleep/wake button, then slide the power slider to turn off your iPhone completely.

   Remove the Pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 3.9 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

   Attach the suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the glass screen just above the home button to secure a grip.

   Pry open the bottom edge

   Pull up gently on the suction cup while inserting a plastic opening pick into the seam above the lower headphone jack.

   Slightly lift the display

   Gently hinge the bottom of the screen open just enough to reveal the Touch ID cable bracket. Do not open it fully yet.

   Remove the Touch ID bracket

   Use precision tweezers to lift and remove the small metal bracket covering the Touch ID cable connector.

   Disconnect the Touch ID cable

   Pry the Touch ID cable connector straight up off its socket using the flat end of a spudger.

   Open display to ninety degrees

   Swing the display open to a 90-degree angle and lean it against a stable support object.

   Remove display cable bracket screws

   Unscrew the four Phillips #000 screws holding the display cable bracket to the top-right of the logic board.

    Remove the display cable bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the metal display cable bracket off the logic board and set it aside.

    Disconnect the front camera cable

    Use the edge of a spudger to pry the front-facing camera and sensor cable connector straight up from its socket.

    Disconnect the digitizer cable

    Pry the digitizer cable connector straight up from the logic board using your spudger tool.

    Disconnect the display cable and remove screen

    Pry up the display data cable connector, then lift the entire screen assembly free from the rear case.

    Remove battery connector bracket screws

    Remove the two Phillips #000 screws securing the metal battery connector bracket near the bottom-left of the board.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Remove the metal bracket, then use a spudger to pry the battery connector off the logic board socket.

    Unscrew the Lightning assembly

    Remove the seven Phillips #000 screws anchoring the Lightning connector assembly and headphone jack to the enclosure.

    Disconnect the antenna cable

    Carefully pop the coaxial antenna cable off its socket on the bottom portion of the logic board using a spudger.

    Unseat the home button cable connector

    Use a spudger to gently release the home button extension cable connector from its socket on the dock assembly.

    Peel up the Lightning connector assembly

    Slide a flat opening tool under the flex cable, headphone jack, and microphone to free them from the adhesive.

    Install the new charging port assembly

    Position the new Lightning connector assembly in the lower case, pressing firmly to seat the microphone and port firmly.
