1 minPlace a suction cup onto the bottom center of the screen, just above the USB-C port, and secure the clamp.

Slice Bottom Display Adhesive
3 minPull up on the suction handle to create a tiny gap, then insert a plastic opening pick under the glass bottom edge.

Slice Side Display Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully around the bottom corners and up the side edges to separate the display perimeter adhesive.

Open Display Assembly
2 minGently swing the display open from the right side like a book cover, resting it against a stable support object.

Remove Connector Cover Screws
2 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower logic board metal shield in place.

2 minUnscrew the fasteners securing the Taptic Engine vibration module near the bottom of the enclosure.

2 minUse tweezers to carefully lift the Taptic Engine out of the lower chassis.

Remove Charging Port Screws
4 minRemove all Phillips and Tri-point screws anchoring the USB-C port assembly and microphone bracket to the frame.

Disconnect Charging Port Flex Cable
2 minPry the main charging port flex cable connector straight up from the lower logic board connection point.

Remove Damaged Charging Port Assembly
3 minGently peel the charging port ribbon cable off the rear housing adhesive and lift out the entire assembly.

Install Replacement Charging Port Assembly
4 minPosition the new USB-C assembly into the bottom housing, firmly pressing down the adhesive backing and securing port screws.
