   Power down iPhone completely

   Press and hold the side button and volume up button, then slide to power off.

   Remove lower pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws next to the USB-C charging port.

   Heat lower display edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the phone for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to front glass

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the screen, just above the home edge.

   Insert opening pick under lower seal

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a gap and slide an opening pick into the lower seam.

   Slice adhesive along left edge

   Slide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up the left edge of the screen to cut the adhesive.

   Slice adhesive along right edge

   Insert a pick on the right edge and slide up toward the top corner to release the remaining side adhesive.

   Open display assembly to the side

   Gently swing the display open like a book from the right edge, leaning it against a stable object.

   Unfasten display bracket screws

   Use a Y000 tri-point screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal logic board cover bracket.

    Remove metal connector bracket

    Use precision tweezers to lift out the logic board shield cover and set it aside.

    Pull the remaining adhesive tab horizontally away from the battery until the strip releases completely.

    Remove degraded battery from chassis

    Lift the battery out of the rear case using plastic opening tools.

    Clean battery bay with isopropyl alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol to clean away any leftover adhesive residue.

    Apply replacement adhesive strips to new battery

    Peel the protective film off new adhesive strips and press them firmly onto the back of the replacement battery.

    Seat new battery into housing

    Align the battery inside the frame and press down firmly to secure it in place.

    Reinstall loudspeaker assembly

    Place the speaker module back into position and secure it with its original screws.
