   Remove bottom pentalobe screws

   Unscrew the two P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the USB-C port at the bottom edge of the phone.

   Heat the lower display edge

   Apply a heated pad or heat gun to the lower edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach a suction handle

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the front glass screen assembly, just above the USB-C port.

   Create a display gap

   Pull up firmly on the suction handle to create a small gap between the display bezel and the aluminum frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the device.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick from left to right along the bottom seam to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Separate the side display seals

   Carefully slide the pick up the right and left edges of the phone to separate the perimeter water-resistant adhesive.

   Open the display panel

   Gently swing the display open from the left side like the cover of a book, resting it upright against a stable object.

   Unscrew the lower connector bracket

   Remove the Tri-Point Y000 screws securing the lower metal plate over the battery and display connectors.

    Remove the connector bracket

    Use precision tweezers to lift the metal shield bracket off the logic board and set it aside.

    Disconnect the battery press connector

    Pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect the display cable

    Use the edge of your spudger to carefully lift the display cable connector out of its socket.

    Remove the display assembly

    Lift the display assembly away from the phone body and place it on a clean, scratch-free surface.

    Expose the adhesive pull-tabs

    Locate the stretch-release adhesive pull-tabs positioned at the top and bottom ends of the battery frame.

    Pull the battery adhesive strips

    Grasp each pull-tab and slowly pull the adhesive strip flat and parallel to the phone until it completely slides out.

    Lift out the original battery

    Gently lift the depleted battery out of the rear enclosure using a plastic opening card.

    Prepare the replacement battery

    Peel the protective backing off the new adhesive strips and press them firmly onto the backside of the new battery.

    Install the new battery

    Align the replacement battery in the chassis compartment and press down firmly to secure the adhesive.

    Reconnect display and battery cables

    Align and press the display cable and battery cable connectors into their respective board sockets until they snap into place.

    Reinstall the connector bracket

    Place the metal shield bracket back over the connectors and tighten the Tri-Point screws to secure it.

    Press the display into place

    Align the top edge of the screen with the frame and firmly press around the perimeter until the screen snaps shut.

    Reinstall the bottom screws

    Thread and tighten the two P2 Pentalobe screws into the bottom edge of the frame to lock the screen.
