Remove Bottom Screws
2 minUnscrew the two P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the USB-C charging port.

Heat Front Glass

Slice Perimeter Adhesive
4 minSlide the pick along the bottom and side edges to cut through the adhesive. Keep the insertion depth under 3 mm along the right edge.
- 7
Open Display Assembly
1 minSwing the screen open from the left edge toward the right like a book. Prop the display against a rigid object so it remains supported.
- 8
Remove Shield Screws
3 minUnscrew the Tri-point Y000 screws holding the connector shield plate over the logic board.
- 9
Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off the logic board.
- 10
Disconnect Display Cable
2 minPry up the display and digitizer press connectors using the flat end of a spudger, then set the display assembly aside.
- 11
Remove Loudspeaker Screws
3 minUnscrew the Phillips and Tri-point screws securing the bottom loudspeaker enclosure to the frame.
- 12
Lift Out Loudspeaker
2 minGently wedge a spudger under the loudspeaker assembly and lift it out of the chassis.
- 13
Unscrew Taptic Engine
2 minRemove the retaining screws holding the Taptic Engine module to the lower inner frame.
- 14
Disconnect Taptic Cable
1 minUse the edge of a spudger to snap the Taptic Engine ribbon connector off its socket.
- 15
Remove Taptic Engine
1 minGently lift the old Taptic Engine straight up out of the phone housing with tweezers.
- 16
