Step-by-step

Power Off the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button and either volume button, then slide the power icon to turn off the device completely.

Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on the bottom edge near the USB-C port.

Heat the Back Glass Perimeter
3 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer along the back glass edges for two minutes to soften the waterproof adhesive seal.

Attach Suction Cup Tool
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass panel, just above the bottom edge.

2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a tiny gap and insert a thin plastic opening pick into the bottom seam.
