   Power down the device

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously until the sliders appear. Slide to power off completely.

   Remove the bottom Pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 3.8 mm screws located on either side of the USB-C port.

   Heat the rear glass edges

   Apply a hair dryer or heat gun around the perimeter of the back glass for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass just above the USB-C port.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap between the glass and the aluminum frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the phone.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the pick back and forth along the bottom edge to slice through the factory adhesive.

   Slice the side adhesive

   Carefully move the pick around the bottom-left and right corners, continuing up the sides to release the glass.

   Open the back glass

   Gently swing the back glass open toward the right side like a book cover.

    Unscrew the lower connector bracket

    Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the lower metal cover plate.

    Remove the connector bracket

    Use tweezers to lift the metal shield plate out of the device.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket using a plastic spudger.

    Disconnect the rear glass assembly

    Use a spudger to disconnect the flex cable linking the back glass to the logic board.

    Separate the back glass

    Lift the rear glass assembly away from the enclosure and place it in a safe area.

    Locate adhesive pull-tabs

    Find the stretch-release adhesive tabs located at the top and bottom edges of the battery.

    Peel the adhesive tabs

    Use tweezers to unstick the black pull-tab tips from the edges of the battery frame.

    Remove the battery adhesive strips

    Slowly pull each adhesive strip out flat and parallel to the phone chassis until fully released.

    Remove the old battery

    Lift the battery out of the rear enclosure. If stuck, apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the edges.

    Clean the battery cavity

    Wipe down the battery compartment using a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.

    Prepare the replacement battery

    Apply new adhesive strips to the underside of the new battery, pressing firmly into place.

    Install the new battery

    Lower the new battery into the enclosure and press down evenly to secure the adhesive.

    Reconnect the rear glass and battery

    Connect the rear glass flex cable, then press the battery connector into its motherboard socket.

    Reattach the metal bracket

    Position the lower cover plate over the connectors and reinstall the Tri-point screws.

    Reseal and close the frame

    Align the back glass with the enclosure frame and press along the edges until it snaps flush.

    Reinstall the Pentalobe screws

    Thread and tighten the two bottom 3.8 mm Pentalobe screws to complete the assembly.
