Step-by-step

Power off the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button and either volume button, then slide to power off the device completely.

Remove the Pentalobe screws
2 minUnscrew and remove the two 3.8 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located at the bottom edge near the USB-C port.

Heat the rear glass perimeter
2 minUse a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the rear edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

3 minUse a spudger to pry up the display and ambient sensor flex cables connected to the upper portion of the board.

Remove logic board standoff screws
3 minUnscrew the internal standoff screws securing the logic board assembly to the iPhone chassis.

Remove the SIM tray assembly
