Step-by-step

Power down the device
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously until the sliders appear. Slide to power off the iPhone 15 Pro completely before starting.

Remove the bottom pentalobe screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 1.5 mm screws located on either side of the USB-C port.

Heat the lower back glass edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer to the bottom rear edge for two minutes to soften the back glass adhesive.

Attach a suction cup to the rear glass
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower half of the back glass, just above the USB-C port, and press down to create a seal.

Insert an opening pick under the back glass
3 minPull up gently on the suction cup to create a gap, then slide a plastic opening pick under the bottom edge of the glass.

Slice the perimeter back glass adhesive
5 minSlide the opening pick carefully along the bottom, left, top, and right edges to separate the adhesive securing the back glass.

Open the back glass like a book
2 minGently swing the back glass open toward the right side of the phone frame, taking care not to strain the ribbon cables attached to the logic board.

Unscrew the lower connector shield
3 minUse a Y000 Tri-point screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal bracket over the battery and rear glass press connectors.

Remove the connector shield
1 minUse tweezers to lift the metal shield off the logic board and set it aside.

Disconnect the battery press connector
1 minPry the battery cable connector straight up from its logic board socket using the pointed end of a spudger.

Disconnect the wireless charging coil cable
1 minUse a spudger to gently pop the wireless charging and back glass press connector off the logic board.

Remove the wireless charging coil screws
4 minUnscrew the small Y000 Tri-point screws retaining the wireless charging assembly to the inner face of the back glass.

Peel off the damaged wireless charging coil
3 minInsert a flat opening pick under the edge of the coil assembly and carefully detach it from the back glass matrix.

Position the new wireless charging coil
3 minAlign the replacement wireless charging coil onto the inner side of the back glass, matching the alignment posts and screw holes.

Secure the replacement coil screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the Y000 Tri-point screws to fasten the new wireless charging module to the back panel.

Reconnect the wireless charging and battery cables
2 minAlign and press the wireless charging ribbon cable and battery connector firmly into their logic board sockets until they snap into place.

Reinstall the connector cover shield
2 minPlace the metal bracket back over the connectors and tighten the Y000 Tri-point screws.

Apply a fresh back glass adhesive seal
4 minClean off old adhesive, align a new pre-cut adhesive seal along the outer perimeter of the phone housing, and peel off the film backing.

Reinstall the bottom pentalobe screws
