Power Down the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button along with either volume button until the power slider appears. Slide to turn off the iPhone completely.

2 minContinue sliding the pick around the top edge, taking care not to push too deep near the earpiece speaker area.

Slice Right Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick down the right edge carefully, keeping insertion shallow to avoid damaging underlying flex cables.

Open Screen Assembly
1 minGently swing the display open from the left side to the right, like the cover of a book. Rest it against a stable object.

Remove Bracket Screws
3 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal logic board shield.

Remove Connector Bracket
1 minUse precision tweezers to lift the metal shield out of the phone body and set it aside.

1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its logic board socket.

Remove Sensor Assembly
3 minUnscrew the bracket holding the top sensor assembly on the back of the old display and detach the flex cable gently.

3 minAlign the sensor assembly into its designated notch on the new screen and secure it with the saved screws.

Clean Frame Perimeter
4 minScrape off residual adhesive along the frame perimeter using a spudger and clean it with isopropyl alcohol.

3 minPeel the backing off a pre-cut display adhesive seal and press it precisely around the cleaned outer rim of the frame.

Connect New Display
2 minAlign and press the display flex cable onto its socket on the logic board until it snaps into place.

2 minSnap the upper sensor flex cable connector firmly into its board socket.
