Step-by-step

Power Off the iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously, then slide to power off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 7.7 mm screws located on either side of the USB-C port.

Heat the Back Glass
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the perimeter of the back glass for two minutes to soften the waterproof adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
2 minPlace a suction handle near the bottom edge of the rear glass and lift gently to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minInsert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the back glass.

Slice Back Glass Adhesive
5 minSlide the pick carefully along the bottom and side edges to cut through the adhesive. Do not insert the pick deeper than 4 mm near the volume buttons.

Open the Back Glass
2 minGently swing the back glass open toward the right side like a book cover. Rest it against a sturdy object so it does not strain the flex cables.

Remove Lower Cable Cover
3 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the lower connector bracket in place.

Disconnect the Battery
2 minUse the pointed end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket.

Disconnect Rear Glass Cable
2 minUse a spudger to detach the rear glass flex cable connector from the logic board.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
3 minUnscrew the four Tri-point Y000 screws anchoring the loudspeaker module to the bottom of the enclosure.

Pry Up the Loudspeaker
2 minInsert a spudger under the top edge of the loudspeaker assembly and lift it up gently from the case.

Remove the Loudspeaker Assembly
1 minLift the faulty loudspeaker out of the phone frame using tweezers.

Position the New Loudspeaker
2 minLower the new loudspeaker into the bottom cavity, ensuring all alignment pins drop cleanly into place.

Secure Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the four Tri-point Y000 screws to hold the new loudspeaker in place.

Reconnect Flex Cables and Battery
3 minPress the rear glass cable and battery connector firmly into their sockets until you feel a soft snap.

3 minPlace the lower connector bracket over the flex cables and secure it with the two Tri-point Y000 screws.
