Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minTurn off your iPhone 15 Plus completely before beginning any disassembly.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 7.7 mm screws on the bottom edge of the phone.

Heat Bottom Edge
2 minApply a warm heat gun or hair dryer to the bottom edge for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

1 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap under the lower edge of the display.

Slice Bottom Adhesive
2 minSlide the opening pick back and forth along the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive.

Slice Left Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick up the left edge of the phone, stopping just short of the top corner to avoid damaging ribbon cables.

Slice Right Adhesive
2 minReinsert the pick at the bottom right corner and slide it up the right edge to separate the remaining adhesive.

Open Display Assembly
2 minSwing the display open from the left edge like a book, resting it upright against a stable support.

Unscrew Logic Board Cover
3 minRemove the Tri-Point Y000 screws securing the lower logic board cover bracket.

Disconnect Battery Press Connector
2 minUse a plastic spudger to gently pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the logic board.

Disconnect Display Cable
2 minPry the display cable connector straight up from the logic board to disconnect it completely.

Separate Display Assembly
1 minLift the damaged display assembly clear of the enclosure and set it face down on a clean surface.

Apply New Screen Adhesive
5 minClean the frame edges with isopropyl alcohol and lay down a pre-cut replacement adhesive gasket.
