   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously, then slide the screen slider to turn off the iPhone 15 Plus.

   Remove Bottom Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 7.7 mm screws located on either side of the USB-C charging port.

   Heat Back Glass Edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the lower edge of the back glass panel for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Attach a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass, keeping it clear of the USB-C port area.

   Slice Back Adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap and insert an opening pick into the lower seam, then slide it around the perimeter to slice the adhesive.

   Open Back Panel

   Gently swing the back glass open toward the left side like a book cover, taking care not to strain the internal flex cables.

   Remove Cable Bracket Screws

   Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the lower connector cover bracket to the logic board.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off its socket to isolate power.

   Disconnect Wireless Charging Cable

   Use a spudger to detach the back glass wireless charging assembly flex cable from the main board, then set the back glass aside.

    Remove Loudspeaker Screws

    Unscrew the four Phillips screws anchoring the bottom loudspeaker module to the lower chassis.

    Lift Out Loudspeaker

    Gently pry up the bottom edge of the loudspeaker with a spudger and lift it out of the rear case.

    Remove Taptic Engine Screws

    Remove the three Tri-point screws holding the Taptic Engine in place near the bottom of the enclosure.

    Extract Taptic Engine

    Disconnect the Taptic Engine flex cable using a spudger, then lift the module out of the chassis.

    Disconnect Port Cable

    Unplug the USB-C charging port flex cable connector from the bottom of the logic board using a spudger.

    Remove USB-C Bracket Screws

    Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the metal bracket over the USB-C port bezel.

    Remove Port Retention Screws

    Remove the remaining screws securing the USB-C port housing and grounding contacts to the bottom frame.

    Soften Lower Cable Adhesive

    Apply mild heat from an iOpener or heat gun to the exterior bottom of the chassis to loosen the ribbon cable adhesive.

    Remove USB-C Port Assembly

    Slide a flat opening pick under the charging port flex cable to detach it from the case, then pull the USB-C port straight out.

    Position New Charging Port

    Align the new USB-C charging port connector into the frame slot and press the attached flex cable flat against the bottom case adhesive.

    Secure Port Screws

    Reinstall and tighten all retention screws and the metal bracket securing the USB-C port into the lower enclosure.

    Reinstall Taptic Engine

    Lower the Taptic Engine into position, reconnect its flex cable, and secure it with the three Tri-point screws.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker module back into the lower cavity and tighten the four Phillips screws.

    Connect Port Cable

    Press the new USB-C charging port flex cable connector firmly onto its socket on the logic board.

    Reconnect Battery and Close Glass

    Reconnect the wireless charging and battery flex cables, reinstall the bracket cover with screws, apply new perimeter adhesive, and press the back glass firmly closed.
