   Power off the iPhone

   Press and hold the side button and either volume button simultaneously. Slide the power toggle switch to shut down the device completely.

   Remove lower pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 1.5 mm screws located on either side of the USB-C port.

   Heat bottom glass edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or heating tool to the lower rear glass panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the rear glass panel, positioned just above the USB-C port.

   Insert opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap and slip an opening pick under the lower rear glass.

   Slice bottom adhesive

   Slide the opening pick left and right along the bottom edge to cut through the waterproof adhesive tape.

   Slice right edge adhesive

   Guide the pick around the bottom-right corner and slide it up along the right edge of the frame.

   Slice top edge adhesive

   Carefully slide the pick along the top edge of the rear glass panel to separate the top adhesive.

   Slice left edge adhesive

   Slide the pick down the left edge, keeping insertion depth under 3 mm to prevent ribbon cable damage.

    Open back glass panel

    Gently swing open the rear glass panel to the right side like opening a book cover.

    Unscrew back glass connector bracket

    Use a Y000 tri-point screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the back glass flex cable bracket.

    Remove back glass cable cover

    Use precision tweezers to lift the metal shield bracket off the logic board.

    Disconnect back glass ribbon cable

    Pry the back glass press connector straight up out of its socket using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew battery connector shield

    Remove the Y000 tri-point screws holding the lower battery terminal cover plate in place.

    Remove battery connector bracket

    Lift out the battery shield bracket using tweezers and store it safely nearby.

    Disconnect battery cable

    Use the flat tip of a spudger to disconnect the battery cable press connector straight up.

    Peel bottom adhesive tabs

    Use tweezers to unstick the black stretch-release adhesive pull tabs at the bottom edge of the battery.

    Pull bottom adhesive strips

    Slowly pull each bottom adhesive tab parallel to the phone frame until the strip stretches out completely.

    Peel top adhesive tabs

    Unstick the remaining pull tabs located near the top edge of the battery casing.

    Pull top adhesive strips

    Pull the upper adhesive strips slowly out flat toward the top edge until fully released.

    Lift out old battery

    Carefully lift the old battery out of the frame. Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol if stuck.

    Apply adhesive to replacement battery

    Peel the protective film off replacement adhesive strips and attach them smoothly to the rear of the new battery.

    Set new battery into frame

    Lower the new battery into the enclosure, align its connector to the logic board, and press firmly.
