Power Off iPhone
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume down button, then slide to power off the device completely.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located at the bottom edge of the phone.

Heat Bottom Edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer to the bottom edge of the back glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass and pull up gently to create a slight gap.

Slice Back Glass Adhesive
5 minInsert an opening pick into the gap and slowly slide along the perimeter to slice through the weather seal adhesive.

2 minSwing the back glass open toward the right side like a book cover, taking care not to strain the ribbon cables.

Unscrew Battery Bracket
3 minUse a Y000 tri-point driver to remove the screws securing the battery connector bracket.

3 minUse a standoff screwdriver bit to remove the retaining standoff screws anchoring the logic board to the frame.

Pry Up Logic Board
2 minGently insert a spudger under the bottom edge of the logic board and lift it up out of the rear case.
