2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on the bottom edge near the Lightning port.
- 3
Warm the lower display edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to the lower edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.
- 4
Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the front display, slightly above the Lightning port. Press down firmly to secure the seal.

- 12
Unscrew the logic board shield cover
2 minRemove the Tri-point Y000 screws securing the logic board shield cover over the wireless charging flex cable connector.
- 13
Disconnect the wireless charging cable
1 minInsert the edge of a spudger beneath the wireless charging press connector and pop it up from its logic board socket.
- 14
Warm the rear enclosure
3 minApply gentle heat to the exterior back glass to soften the adhesive bonding the MagSafe wireless charging coil to the frame.
- 15
Pry up the wireless charging coil
4 minCarefully slide a plastic prying tool under the copper wireless charging coil and work around the ring until it separates from the rear shell.
- 16
Position the replacement charging coil
3 minAlign the replacement wireless charging coil over the positioning pins inside the rear housing and press down evenly to adhere it.
- 17
Connect the charging flex connector
2 minAlign and press down on the new wireless charging flex cable connector until it clicks securely into place on the logic board.
