Power Off Device

1 minInsert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the phone.

Slice Left Edge Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up the left side of the screen to slice through the adhesive seal.

2 minSlide the pick around the bottom-right corner and up the right side edge to cut the remaining adhesive.

Open Display Panel
2 minGently swing the display open from the left side like a book cover, resting it against a stable support.

Unscrew Logic Board Shield
3 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the metal logic board shield.

Disconnect Battery Flex Cable
2 minPry the battery press connector straight up from its socket using a plastic spudger to cut power.

Disconnect Display Cables
3 minDisconnect the display cable and ambient light sensor flex connectors, then detach and set the screen assembly aside.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Mounts
3 minRemove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the enclosure.

Remove Speaker Grounding Clip
2 minUse tweezers to carefully lift away the small metal grounding clip located on the edge of the speaker module.

Pry Up Loudspeaker Assembly
2 minInsert a flat spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and gently lever it out from the frame.

2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker unit over the lower chassis recess and press it down into place.

Reinstall Speaker Screws
3 minReposition the metallic grounding clip and secure the speaker assembly with the four retained Phillips #000 screws.
