   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the side button and either volume button, then slide to turn off the iPhone completely.

   Remove Bottom Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

   Heat Bottom Edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the screen for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower third of the glass panel, just above the home indicator area.

   Create Display Gap

   Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure to create a small gap between the display bezel and the rear housing.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert the tip of a plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the phone.

   Slice Left Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick around the bottom-left corner and up the left side of the screen to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Slice Right Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick around the bottom-right corner and up the right side edge to cut the remaining adhesive.

   Open Display Panel

   Gently swing the display open from the left side like a book cover, resting it against a stable support.

    Unscrew Logic Board Shield

    Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the six screws securing the metal logic board shield.

    Disconnect Battery Flex Cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its socket using a plastic spudger to cut power.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Disconnect the display cable and ambient light sensor flex connectors, then detach and set the screen assembly aside.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Mounts

    Remove the four Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the enclosure.

    Remove Speaker Grounding Clip

    Use tweezers to carefully lift away the small metal grounding clip located on the edge of the speaker module.

    Pry Up Loudspeaker Assembly

    Insert a flat spudger under the edge of the speaker housing and gently lever it out from the frame.

    Position Replacement Loudspeaker

    Align the replacement loudspeaker unit over the lower chassis recess and press it down into place.

    Reinstall Speaker Screws

    Reposition the metallic grounding clip and secure the speaker assembly with the four retained Phillips #000 screws.

    Apply Display Seal

    Clean the housing rim with isopropyl alcohol, then lay down a fresh pre-cut water resistance display adhesive seal.

    Reconnect Display and Battery

    Snap the display flex cables and battery cable back into their sockets, then screw down the connector shield.

    Seal Display and Fasten Screws

    Align the screen with the frame, press firmly around the edges until it snaps flat, and reinsert the two bottom P2 screws.
