Step-by-step

Remove Bottom Screws
2 minPower off the iPhone 14 Pro Max and remove the two 6.8 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the charging port.

Heat Display Edge
3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun around the perimeter of the display for two minutes to soften the waterproof seal.

Slice Display Adhesive
4 minAttach a suction handle near the bottom edge, pull up firmly, and insert an opening pick under the glass seal to slice the adhesive around all sides.

Open Display Assembly
2 minGently swing the display open from the left side toward the right side like a book. Rest it flat against a supportive object.

Remove Lower Bracket Screws
3 minUnscrew the six Tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower logic board connector cover plate.

Remove Lower Connector Bracket
1 minUse precision tweezers to lift the metal shield off the logic board and set it aside.

3 minUnscrew the remaining Tri-point and Standoff screws holding the upper logic board protective covers.

Remove Upper Logic Board Shield
1 minCarefully lift and remove the upper metal shield covering the top section of the motherboard.

Disconnect Rear Camera Connectors
2 minDisconnect the rear camera module flex press-connectors from their sockets on the logic board.

Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cables
3 minUnplug all remaining press-connectors, including charging port, button, and antenna flex cables.

Remove Logic Board Standoff Screws
3 minUnscrew the remaining standoff fasteners securing the logic board assembly to the rear housing.

Lift Logic Board Out
2 minPry gently beneath the bottom edge of the logic board with a spudger and lift it free from the rear housing.
