Step-by-step

Power off the iPhone
1 minTurn off the iPhone 14 Plus completely to prevent short circuits on the logic board.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the left side of the frame to remove the SIM tray.

Remove bottom Pentalobe screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

Heat the rear glass

5 minUnscrew all Standoff and Tri-Point screws holding the logic board and shield brackets to the chassis.

Remove the logic board
3 minCarefully lift the logic board out of the phone frame using plastic tweezers.

Clean corrosion with isopropyl alcohol
10 minSubmerge or coat the board in 99% isopropyl alcohol and gently scrub all corroded areas with a soft brush.

Dry the logic board
15 minBlow off leftover liquid using compressed air and let the board air-dry completely in a warm area.

Reinstall the logic board
5 minPlace the dried logic board back into the housing and secure all brackets with their original screws.

Reconnect flex cables and battery
3 minSnap the rear glass flex cable back onto the logic board, followed by the battery connector.

Reseal and close the device
4 minApply new perimeter adhesive, press the back glass firmly into place, and reinstall the two bottom Pentalobe screws.
