   Power Off the iPhone

   Press and hold the Side button and Volume Down button simultaneously, then slide the screen slider to shut down the device completely.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located at the bottom edge near the charging port.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the bottom edge of the back glass for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Place a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass panel, avoiding the curved edges.

   Create Gap and Insert Pick

   Pull firmly on the suction handle to create a slight gap at the bottom edge and slide an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Lower Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick back and forth along the bottom edge to slice through the adhesive seal.

   Slice Side Edge Adhesive

   Slide the pick up the left and right edges of the phone frame, taking care not to insert the pick deeper than 4 mm.

   Open Rear Glass Panel

   Gently swing the back glass open toward the right side of the phone like a book cover.

   Unbolt Connector Bracket Screws

   Use a Y000 tri-point driver to remove the screws securing the metal shield over the battery and rear glass connectors.

    Remove Connector Shield

    Use tweezers to carefully lift the metal connector shield out of the phone body.

    Disconnect the Battery

    Pry the battery connector straight up from its logic board socket using the flat end of a spudger.

    Disconnect Rear Glass Cable

    Use the spudger to detach the rear glass wireless charging assembly flex cable from the logic board.

    Detach Rear Glass Panel

    Lift the rear glass assembly completely off the phone chassis and set it aside in a safe spot.

    Peel Adhesive Pull-Tabs

    Use tweezers to unstick the black pull-tabs of the stretch-release adhesive strips from the top and bottom edges of the battery.

    Pull Stretch-Release Adhesive

    Slowly pull each adhesive tab outward at a low angle until the entire strip stretches out from underneath the battery.

    Remove Old Battery

    Lift the battery out of the rear enclosure. If stuck, apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the edges to loosen remaining tape.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Wipe the inside of the battery cavity with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove old adhesive residue.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Attach fresh stretch-release adhesive strips to the backside of the replacement battery and peel off the protective liners.

    Install Replacement Battery

    Set the new battery into the cavity and press firmly to set the adhesive, ensuring the cable aligns with the socket.

    Reconnect Connectors and Shield

    Snap the rear glass flex cable and battery cable into their sockets, then reinstall the metal bracket with its Y000 screws.

    Reseal and Secure Back Glass

    Press the back glass firmly onto the frame to engage the seal, then reinstall the two P2 bottom screws.
