Step-by-step
- 1
Power Down iPhone
1 minTurn off the iPhone 13 Pro completely before starting any disassembly. Disconnect all cables and accessories.

Remove Bottom Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

Heat Bottom Edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hairdryer to the lower edge of the phone for about two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
1 minPlace a suction cup onto the lower half of the display panel, just above the bottom edge.

Create Opening Gap
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap between the screen assembly and the steel frame.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minSlide the tip of a plastic opening pick directly into the gap created under the bottom edge of the screen.

Slice Lower Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick back and forth along the bottom edge of the device to cut through the perimeter adhesive.

Slice Right Edge Adhesive
2 minMove the pick carefully around the bottom-right corner and up the right side of the screen to separate the adhesive.

Slice Left Edge Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick up the left edge of the phone, inserting it no deeper than 2 mm to avoid damaging display cables.

Open Display Assembly
2 minGently swing the screen open from the right edge like a book, resting it against a prop so it stays upright.

Remove Battery Cover Screws
2 minUse a Y000 tri-point screwdriver to remove the three screws securing the lower connector cover bracket.

Detach Battery Cable
2 minRemove the lower cover bracket and use a plastic spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from its socket.

Remove Display Cover Screws
2 minUnscrew the two Y000 tri-point screws holding down the upper display cable bracket.

Disconnect Display Cable
2 minRemove the metal bracket and use the spudger to disconnect the main display flex cable from the logic board.

Remove Display Unit
1 minLift the display assembly completely away from the chassis and place it face-down on a clean work surface.

Unscrew Sensor Assembly
3 minRemove the four screws holding the upper earpiece speaker and sensor cable to the back of the screen.

Pry Earpiece Speaker
3 minCarefully pry up the earpiece speaker and sensor module from the display panel using fine tweezers.

Install Sensor Assembly
3 minPosition the sensor module into the corresponding slot on the new display assembly and secure it with its screws.

Clean Enclosure Edge
3 minScrape off residual adhesive from the internal frame edge using a plastic tool and isopropyl alcohol.

Apply Waterproof Seal
3 minAlign and press a new pre-cut adhesive gasket onto the outer frame, then peel off the protective film.

Connect Display Cable
2 minAlign and snap the display flex cable back into its connector on the logic board.

Reconnect Battery
3 minPress the battery cable connector back into its socket, then reinstall all protective metal brackets and screws.

Seat Screen in Frame
2 minAlign the top edge of the screen into the frame and firmly press around the perimeter until it snaps into place.

Install Pentalobe Screws
2 minReinsert and tighten the two P2 Pentalobe screws on either side of the charging port to finalize the repair.
