   Power Off the iPhone

   Press and hold the side button along with either volume button until the power-off slider appears. Slide to completely power down the device.

   Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws on either side of the Lightning charging port.

   Apply Heat to Bottom Edge

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the bottom edge of the display for 90 seconds to soften the adhesive seal.

   Attach Suction Cup Handle

   Place a suction cup on the bottom half of the display glass, directly above the charging port, and press down firmly to secure it.

   Insert Opening Pick at Bottom Edge

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a slight gap between the glass and body, then insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice Side Display Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick along the left and right edges of the phone to cut through the display adhesive, keeping insertion under 3 mm.

   Open Display Assembly

   Gently swing the display open from the right side like a book, leaning it against a sturdy object to avoid pulling flex cables.

   Remove Display Bracket Screws

   Use a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws holding the lower metal shield cover over the logic board.

   Remove Lower Metal Shield

   Use tweezers to lift the lower metal shield bracket off the logic board and set it aside safely.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Insert the flat end of a plastic spudger beneath the battery press connector and gently lift up to disconnect power.

    Disconnect Display and Sensor Flexes

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main display cable connector and the front sensor assembly connector from the board.

    Remove Upper Sensor Screws

    Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the retaining screws securing the top sensor metal bracket to the display.

    Remove Upper Sensor Bracket

    Lift the metal sensor bracket off the top of the display using precision tweezers and store it in your screw organizer.

    Heat Top Edge of Glass

    Apply heat to the upper front area of the glass for 60 seconds to soften the adhesive securing the ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.

    Pry Ambient Light Sensor

    Gently insert the tip of a plastic spudger underneath the ambient light sensor module to unseat it from display frame.

    Separate Face ID Sensor Flex

    Use tweezers to carefully lift and unstick the remaining Face ID sensor assembly and microphone cable from the display back.

    Align Replacement Sensor Assembly

    Position the replacement Face ID sensor flex assembly onto the top of the display glass, aligning the sensors precisely in their cutout slots.

    Reinstall Upper Sensor Bracket

    Place the metal retaining bracket over the new sensor module and secure it using the saved Phillips #000 screws.

    Reconnect Flex Cables and Battery

    Connect the display and sensor cables to the logic board, then snap the battery connector firmly back into place.

    Secure Bracket and Close Screen

    Reinstall the main bracket shield, lower the display into the frame, press down along the edges to seal, and reinstall the bottom Pentalobe screws.
