   Power off device

   Turn off your iPhone completely before beginning disassembly. Ensure the battery level is below 25% to reduce the risk of fire if punctured.

   Remove Pentalobe screws

   Use a P2 Pentalobe driver to remove the two 6.8 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

   Heat bottom edge

   Apply a heated iOpener or hair dryer to the lower edge of the phone for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Attach suction handle

   Place a suction cup onto the bottom half of the glass screen, just above the home indicator area.

   Separate display adhesive

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a small gap at the bottom edge, then insert a plastic opening pick under the glass.

   Slice perimeter seal

   Slide the pick around the bottom and side edges to cut through the adhesive. Insert no more than 3 mm along the left side to avoid damaging display cables.

   Open display assembly

   Swing the display open from the right edge like a book cover. Prop it securely against a rigid object so it does not strain the ribbon cables.

   Unscrew metal bracket

   Use a Y000 tri-point driver to remove the three screws securing the logic board connector cover bracket.

   Disconnect battery flex

   Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry the battery press connector straight up out of its socket.

    Unbolt loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the four screws holding the lower speaker module to the phone frame using a Phillips and Standoff driver.

    Extract damaged loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger underneath the edge of the loudspeaker and pry it out of the chassis.

    Position new speaker

    Set the replacement loudspeaker module into the bottom housing, aligning its mounting holes with the chassis screw posts.

    Fasten speaker screws

    Reinstall and tighten the four mounting screws to secure the speaker module to the enclosure.

    Reconnect battery press connector

    Align the battery cable over its socket and press down firmly until you feel a distinct click.

    Reattach bracket plate

    Position the logic board bracket over the connectors and secure it with the three tri-point screws.

    Close display panel

    Align the top edge of the display into the frame, then press firmly along the perimeter until the screen snaps into place.

    Reinstall Pentalobe screws

    Thread and tighten the two P2 Pentalobe screws into the base of the phone next to the Lightning port.
