3 minRemove the Phillips and Y000 screws anchoring the bottom loudspeaker module to the housing.

Lift out the loudspeaker

3 minUnscrew the securing bracket and lift out the Taptic Engine vibration motor using tweezers.

4 minRemove all screws securing the Lightning connector, internal microphones, and grounding clips to the bottom frame.

Pry up charging port assembly
4 minUse a spudger to carefully peel the flex cable, port housing, and microphones up from the adhesive on the housing.

Install new Lightning connector
4 minAlign the replacement charging port flex cable into the chassis, pressing down firmly on adhesive areas.

Reassemble lower components
8 minReinstall the Taptic Engine and loudspeaker, then reconnect display cables and apply new display adhesive before closing.
