Power Down the iPhone 11
1 minPress and hold the side button and volume down button simultaneously until the slider appears. Slide to power off the device completely.

Remove Bottom Pentalobe Screws
2 minUse a P2 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the two 6.7 mm screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

Heat Bottom Screen Edge
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to the lower edge of the phone for about 90 seconds to soften the display adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup tool on the lower half of the front display glass, just above the home button area.

Create Screen Gap
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap between the front glass panel and the outer frame.

Slice Lower Adhesive
2 minInsert a thin plastic prying tool into the seam gap and slide it along the bottom edge to slice the adhesive seal.

Separate Side Adhesive
3 minContinue sliding the plastic opening pick up the left edge and right edge of the screen to release the perimeter adhesive.

Open Display Assembly
1 minGently swing the display open from the left side like a book cover. Do not try to separate it fully yet as ribbon cables remain connected.

Unscrew Lower Connector Shield
2 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the metal lower battery connector cover bracket.

Remove Lower Shield
1 minUse tweezers to lift and remove the lower metal shield from the logic board area.

Disconnect Battery Press Connector
1 minInsert the flat edge of a spudger under the battery connector and pry it straight up to disconnect battery power.

Unscrew Logic Board Display Shield
2 minUse a Tri-point Y000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper display connector bracket.

Disconnect Display Connectors
2 minUse a spudger to pry up the display cable connector and digitizer cable connector straight off the logic board.

Separate Screen Completely
1 minLift the display assembly away from the rear enclosure and set it aside in a safe location.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the SIM tray hole on the side of the phone and remove the SIM tray.

Unscrew Upper Bracket Screws
3 minRemove the Phillips and Tri-point screws securing the upper antenna and grounding brackets over the top section of the logic board.

Remove Upper Grounding Brackets
1 minCarefully lift off the metal grounding brackets near the top edge using tweezers.

Disconnect Front Camera Assembly
2 minUse a spudger to disconnect the TrueDepth sensor and front camera ribbon cables from the upper portion of the board.

Disconnect Rear Camera Connectors
2 minPry up the press connectors for the rear cameras and remove the small metal camera retention bracket using tweezers.

Disconnect Lower Component Flex Cables
3 minDisconnect the Lightning connector flex cable, wireless charging coil, and button assembly cables from the board using a spudger.

Remove Logic Board Standoff Screws
3 minUse a specialized standoff screwdriver to remove the standoff screws holding the logic board to the internal chassis.

Extract Logic Board
2 minCarefully lift the board from the bottom edge and pull it out of the rear case, making sure no flex cables get snagged.

Position Replacement Board
3 minLower the replacement logic board into the chassis frame, aligning it carefully with the alignment posts.

Secure Logic Board Screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the standoff screws and Phillips screws to lock the logic board into position.
