Power Off Phone
1 minTurn off your iPhone 11 Pro Max completely prior to starting any disassembly.

Remove Pentalobe Screws
2 minUnscrew the two 6.7 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning charging port.

Heat Lower Edge
2 minApply heat to the bottom edge of the phone using a heat gun or hair dryer for two minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the front display screen, just above the bottom bezel.

Lift Display Slightly
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup to create a small gap between the screen assembly and the outer frame.

Insert Opening Pick
1 minInsert the edge of a plastic opening pick directly into the newly created gap at the bottom edge.

Slice Frame Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick around the bottom and left edges of the screen to slice through the internal water-resistant seal.

Open Screen Assembly
2 minSwing the screen open from the left side like a book cover. Do not attempt to separate it entirely yet.

Remove Battery Cover Screws
2 minUnscrew the two 1.3 mm Tri-point Y000 screws holding the battery connector cover bracket in place.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector directly up from its socket on the logic board.

Remove Loudspeaker Fasteners
3 minRemove the five mixed Phillips #000 and Tri-point Y000 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the housing.

Unclip Grounding Bracket
2 minGently lift the small metal grounding clip attached near the top edge of the speaker module using tweezers.

Extract Loudspeaker
2 minPry the old loudspeaker module up from the bottom right corner and remove it from the device frame.

Position New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker in the lower enclosure and lower it into place.

Fasten Loudspeaker Screws
3 minReinstall the five retaining screws to firmly secure the replacement loudspeaker to the phone frame.

Reconnect Battery Cable
1 minPress the battery connector straight down into its logic board socket until it snaps securely into place.

Reinstall Battery Bracket
2 minPlace the battery cover bracket back over the connector and tighten the two Tri-point Y000 screws.

Reseal Display
4 minApply new perimeter adhesive tape to the frame, align the display, and press down firmly around all edges to close.

Reinstall Pentalobe Screws
2 minThread and tighten the two P2 Pentalobe screws on either side of the Lightning port.
