   Power Down iPhone

   Turn off your iPhone completely before starting disassembly to avoid short circuits.

   Remove Pentalobe Screws

   Unscrew the two 6.7 mm P2 Pentalobe screws located on either side of the Lightning port.

   Heat Lower Edge

   Apply a warm heat gun or hair dryer to the lower edge of the phone for two minutes to soften the display adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the display assembly, just above the Lightning port.

   Slice Screen Adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup and insert an opening pick to cut through the waterproof adhesive along the edges.

   Open Display

   Swing the display open from the right side like a book cover, resting it against a sturdy object.

   Remove Battery Cover Screws

   Unscrew the two Y000 screws securing the lower battery connector cover plate.

   Disconnect Battery

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector directly up from its logic board socket.

   Remove Display Shield Screws

   Unscrew the six Tri-Point Y000 screws holding the display cable shield in place.

    Disconnect Display Cables

    Disconnect the display cable and digitizer cable using the flat end of a spudger.

    Separate Display Assembly

    Lift the display assembly completely off the rear enclosure and set it aside in a safe spot.

    Remove Speaker Assembly Screws

    Remove the five screws holding the lower speaker module to the bottom of the enclosure.

    Remove Lower Speaker

    Gently lift the lower speaker module out of the phone body using tweezers.

    Remove Taptic Engine Screws

    Unscrew the three Y000 screws securing the Taptic Engine near the bottom edge.

    Disconnect and Remove Taptic Engine

    Pry up the Taptic Engine connector flex cable and lift the module out of the chassis.

    Unscrew Port Retaining Screws

    Unscrew all remaining bracket screws holding the Lightning port flex cable to the case frame.

    Pry Up Lightning Assembly

    Apply high-percentage isopropyl alcohol under the flex cable and pry up the charging port assembly using a flat spudger.

    Install New Charging Port

    Position the new Lightning port assembly into the enclosure and press firmly to adhere it.

    Reinstall Taptic Engine

    Reposition the Taptic Engine, reconnect its press-connector, and secure its retaining screws.

    Reinstall Lower Speaker

    Seat the lower speaker assembly back into place and tighten all retaining screws securely.

    Reconnect Display and Battery

    Snap the display connectors back onto the logic board, followed by the main battery connector.

    Reattach Shield Plates

    Replace the display and battery metal shield plates and fasten their respective screws.

    Reseal Display

    Align the top edge of the display with the frame and press around the edges until it snaps flush.

    Insert Pentalobe Screws

    Thread and tighten the two P2 Pentalobe screws into the bottom edge of the device.
