   Remove the external screws that secure the housing. Keep them sorted by length and location.

   Open the device housing

   Warm adhesive if needed, then use plastic picks to separate the housing without damaging clips or seals.

   Disconnect the battery

   As soon as you can reach it, unplug the battery connector with a plastic spudger before working on other cables.

   Remove shields, brackets, and cables blocking the battery. Note cable routing before disconnecting anything.
