Disconnect external cables

2 minGasp the fan body and lift it out of the recessed cooling bay. Guide the fan wire carefully through the slot in the plastic frame.

Clean dust from the fan recess
3 minBlow out remaining dust inside the fan cavity using canned compressed air. Wipe down the plastic mounting edges with a soft microfiber cloth.

Insert the replacement fan
2 minLower the new cooling fan into the recess, aligning the mounting holes with the chassis posts. Route the cable through the plastic notch.

Connect the fan power cable
2 minAlign the plug with the motherboard socket. Press the connector firmly into place using tweezers until it fully seats.

Position the metal fan bracket
2 minPlace the metal fan cover plate back over the fan assembly. Ensure all screw holes line up with the threaded posts.

Secure the fan bracket screws

Snap the intake fan grille into place
