Clean intake rollers and gears
3 minWipe down the rubber disc feed rollers using isopropyl alcohol to remove accumulated dust and debris.

Reconnect the laser ribbon cable
2 minInsert the ribbon cable back into the ZIF connector and push the locking flap down to secure the connection.

Reattach the drive shield
3 minPlace the metal top shield back onto the disc drive and re-tighten all TR8 Torx screws until snug.

Reinstall the disc drive module
2 minAlign the drive connector pins with the PS5 Slim expansion socket and push down firmly until it clicks into place.

Snap the outer panel closed
2 minAlign the cover hooks with the console slots and slide the panel upward until the locking clips snap tightly into place.
