Step-by-step

Unplug and power down the console

Disconnect the cooling fan
2 minCarefully pull the fan cable connector straight up from the motherboard socket using precision tweezers.

Remove the cooling fan
1 minLift the cooling fan assembly straight up and out of the console body.

Remove the main shield panel screws
5 minUnscrew all designated TR8 Torx and Phillips screws securing the large metal shield plate.

Lift off the main metal shield
2 minCarefully lift the metal shield plate off the chassis to access the internal power supply module.

Disconnect the PSU main wire harness
2 minPinch the release latch on the power supply wire harness connector and pull it straight out from the motherboard.

Remove the power supply retaining screws
3 minUse a TR8 Torx Security screwdriver to remove the long mounting screws securing the power supply unit.

Extract the power supply unit
2 minGrasp the power supply unit by its outer housing and pull it straight up to disconnect it from the internal prongs.

Install the replacement power supply
2 minAlign the replacement power supply unit with the internal guides and press it down firmly onto the motherboard prongs.

Reattach the power supply screws and cable
3 minFasten the retaining screws and plug the wire harness connector firmly back into the motherboard socket.
