Step-by-step

Remove Stylus and Slot Cover
1 minSlide the stylus out from the right side of the console and remove the Game Pak slot cover from the bottom.

Remove Battery Cover Screw
1 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to unscrew the single screw securing the battery compartment door.

Disconnect the Battery
2 minLift out the battery door, then use a spudger to gently pry the lithium-ion battery out of its compartment.

Unscrew the Outer Housing
4 minRemove the four Tri-Point Y00 screws and three Phillips #00 screws securing the lower outer case.
