Safety
- Disconnect the power cable and all external cables before starting the disassembly.

Unclip the Side Vent Cover
2 minInsert a plastic spudger into the seam of the left side vent panel and gently pry it away from the console.

Release the Housing Latch
2 minSlide the small plastic locking clip near the sync button toward the front to release the corner binding.

Pry Open the Outer Case
4 minInsert opening picks along the rear clip seam to separate the upper and lower plastic shells.

Lift Off Top Shell
2 minCarefully hinge the top plastic case upward and remove it completely from the console assembly.

Unscrew the Wi-Fi Module
2 minUse a TR9 Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the Wi-Fi board to the top metal shield.

Disconnect the Wi-Fi Cable
2 minGently disconnect the Wi-Fi ribbon cable from the top metal shield and set the module aside.

Remove Top Chassis Screws
5 minRemove the eight long T10 Torx screws holding the upper metal chassis shield in place.

Remove Upper Metal Shield
2 minLift the upper metal chassis shield straight up to expose the internal hard drive and motherboard.

Disconnect SATA Cables
2 minUnplug the SATA data cable and SATA power cable directly from the rear of the hard drive.

Remove Hard Drive Caddy
2 minLift the hard drive and its mounting caddy straight up and out of the lower console housing.

Unscrew Drive from Caddy
3 minRemove the four T10 Torx screws securing the hard drive to the sides of the metal tray.

Insert the New Drive
2 minRemove the old hard drive and align the replacement 2.5-inch SATA drive into the metal caddy.

Secure the Drive Bracket
3 minReinstall the four T10 Torx screws to firmly attach the new drive to the metal caddy.

Install Drive and Reconnect
3 minSet the caddy back into the chassis and reconnect both the SATA power and data cables securely.
